LEM-230
This round was created for a company that makes high-quality shotguns for law enforcement and military use. The LEM230 includes a more powerful version called the Genesis, that reaches speeds over 2400 FPS. It is designed to be stable when shot through both smooth and rifled barrels. Shooters have achieved impressive accuracy at 25 yards, with groups under 1 inch, despite the slug being almost 3/4 inch diameter.
Pure Copper No Lead
Hunters preferred the 3”, 1-1/8 oz, #4 roll crimped round with pure copper shot. Average velocity ranging from 1407 to 1520 FPS and the high velocity 1 ounce load ranges from 1608 to 1678 FPS. Velocity is affected by gun specifications and choke. Test hunters report one shot kills at 60+ yards.
Copper is less expensive than Tungsten with unequalled overall performance. Pure copper material offers a pellet that deforms on impact which allows energy to stay within the waterfowl. Copper pellets are in a density sweet spot between steel and lead. Having less weight per pellet enables SlapShot to send more shot down range at higher velocity. Copper enables the balance of density, softness, great patterns, and speed. SlapShot’s reported velocities are intentionally conservative and hunters reported they discovered they did not need to lead the duck as far as they had been accustomed. Improved patterns combined with improved terminal ballistics means less shots needed to get your limits, it’s time to move on from lead and steel.

200+ pellets on 30 inch target at 20 yards.
150+ pellets on a 30 inch target at 40 yards.
Our copper/steel duplex round performs fantastic using SlapShot’s SHOT TIMING principles to optimize the duplex round. These SlapShot rounds use lead free pure copper shot that has been corrosion inhibited according to the approved federal standard. Test hunters report consistent one shot kills at 50+ yards with the 1-1/8 oz 1539 to 1550 FPS load.

High Velocity-12 Gauge 3” 1 oz waterfowl- tungsten and steel blend -pattern at 30 yards. Target 12x18 inch. Followup testing at below freezing average velocity was 1633 FPS.
12 Gauge 2.75” 1.14 oz waterfowl- #2 steel pattern at 35 yards. Target 12x18 inch.

This 2.75” ToxSafe 12 Gauge round is available in #4,#3, and #2 zinc plated steel. Average velocity for this shell ranges from 1403 FPS to 1471 FPS depending on the specifications of the shotgun.
Test shooter using 28” Tristar with Patternmaster Anaconda choke put 110 pellets (#4) on 30” target at 40. Also approximately 40 pellets in a 10“ circle at 35 yards. During this test shoot the average velocity for the 2-3/4 inch #4, (1.14oz) round was 1471 FPS and high low average 1473 FPS at 70 degrees F.

Why Water
Using water and high speed video we are able to determine how fast the water disperses due to the pressure wave. The pellets hit the water at just under 3000 FPS and we are able to measure the water riding the pressure wave away from the location of impact at 2900 FPS.
Improved LA72 3240 to 3350 FPS
The Improved LA72 is our live adaptable 12 gauge slug round. Live Adaptability is our patented method of adding the .25 caliber insert to completed ammunition and increasing that round’s penetration capability. The load is calibrated to ensure safe pressures with and without the insert. Designed for accuracy in fully rifled 12 gauge barrels. The LA72 is assembled without the .25 caliber insert, but the inserts can be purchased separately. This enables our customers to have the hard hitting controlled penetration of our PHD250 ammunition or the greater penetration of our Saber 2 stage projectile at their fingertips. Enables savings for the customer while also giving the benefit of a live adaptable round.
Two stage projectile impacting 20% gel produces a 4 inch wide 6 inch deep crush cavity then the .25 caliber insert releases for additional penetration. In this test the insert exited the rear of the gel block at 12 inches of penetration.

The test shooter is not affiliated with SlapShot USA and volunteered to put some of our ammunition through the paces. He refers to this ammunition as “00 buck” but it is our pattern optimized 3” single 0 steel buckshot. Note the target inset on the product window to the left. That target is a standard steel target at 25 yards. Five aimed shots put 36 out of 40 possible pellets on the steel. This video demonstrates recoil and how our optimized load enable second shot accuracy.
